Our PEI clients may choose to spend one night in Fredericton after their procedure and go home the following day – or if you come with a driver you might even go back home the same afternoon. If you are not in a rush it may be more comfortable to sleep over in Fredericton.

Vasectomy Pricing for PEI Men
Our vasectomy clinic offers these three premium options as well as standard no-scalpel vasectomy covered by provincial medicare:
Health PEI Medical Services Insurance covers the basic costs of a vasectomy. You can have your vasectomy at no cost to you at our clinic.
You may also opt for our Premium Package for our no-scalpel, no-needle vasectomy, which almost all of our patients choose for improved comfort and convenience for $199.
This fee also covers all your aftercare supplies and telephone follow-ups instead of post-procedure office visits.
With this package you will have two visits to our clinic – first for a consultation and secondly for your procedure.
The single-visit premium package includes all the elements of the Premium Package – no-needle, no scalpel procedure, aftercare supplies, and telephone follow-up – as well as the ability to have your consult and procedure in the same clinic visit
The fee for the Single-Visit Premium Package is $299, and this is the option chosen by most of our PEI vasectomy clients, as it the most convenient when travelling to our clinic from the Island.
With this package you will have a single clinic visit and will be able to choose to spend a night in Fredericton or do a single day return trip.

In recent years, vasectomy has experienced a steady growth in its popularity amongst those PEI men seeking permanent contraception. This trend suggests that more and more people are recognizing the overall convenience, safety and reliability of this procedure. With the No-Scalpel Vasectomy (NSV) and no needle technique, this procedure has become even more simple.
No-Scalpel Vasectomy in Charlottetown
No-Scalpel Vasectomy (NSV) was developed in China in 1974 by Dr. Li Shunqiang. By 1985, an international team made up of members from the World Health Organization (WHO) and Access to Voluntary and Safe Contraception (AVSC), formerly the Association for Voluntary Surgical Contraception, were visiting China to study alternative vasectomy procedures, including NSV.
In 1988, after careful observation and review of the NSV procedure, they decided to introduce the technique to North America.
Since then, over 1,000,000 No-Scalpel vasectomies have been performed in North America and nearly 20,000,000 in China, and the numbers around the world are growing.
Our Fredericton vasectomy clinic uses this advanced method and Gentle Procedures Clinics across North America have been performing scalpel-free vasectomies with great success for many years.
NSV Benefits vs. Conventional Vasectomy
No scalpel vasectomy is a simple and elegant in-office procedure that many studies show has significant advantages over conventional vasectomy. NSV is comparatively faster, has a swifter recovery time, safer (one-eighth the rate of bleeding and infection) and can be virtually pain-free – especially when coupled with no-needle anesthesia – as done at our Fredericton vasectomy clinic serving PEI men.
With a conventional vasectomy procedure, a doctor would make two incisions, one on each side of the scrotum, perform the procedure, and then stitch up the incisions. The stitches would then have to be removed about a week later.
With the NSV approach there is no knife, no cutting incision, no stitches and no-needle. Men who have undergone NSV express amazement at the minimal physical discomfort they experienced both during the procedure and during recovery.
Men who were previously not considering vasectomy because they feared the scalpel can now feel comfortable, relaxed and confident with this simple procedure.
We are now open for all procedures and consultations at our clinic.
However, we will not be able to accept patients from outside of New Brunswick until the Atlantic Bubble re-opens. Out-of-province patients can please contact us once the Bubble re-opens and we would be happy to schedule your appointment.
Please contact our clinic to learn more about our new protocols and to make an appointment (NB residents).
